Loud music, flooding lights,
many drinks with a few fights.
The tavern seems full,
filled with care-free cheer,
after all, isn't this why we're here?

Muses dance taking our hearts,
while holding our hands,
isn't this all so grand?
Dressed in silks, the finest of the land,
this is how it often starts.

The instruments play, laughter ensues,
as the merchants gamble away,
to save very little by the next day.
Pockets full of gold, the dice will roll,
What else is there really to do?

By the time the next song ends,
we will be ready for another brew or wine.
But the night is indeed very young,
so we shall take our sweet time.
Isn't life feeling so very divine?

As the sun sets, the night falls,
as I hope this time we will remain upright.
Trying to once again find a way back home,
so we can recover our health in hindsight.
Doesn't a full tavern end up empty afterall?
